Sixty-six talented young musicians, participating in the 28th Musica Mundi Music Course & Festival, travelled from every corner of the world this past weekend to begin an unforgettable musical adventure.
They arrived safely at the Musica Mundi School, where they received a warm welcome from the course founders and dedicated staff members. Just a few days earlier, the staff had gathered for their traditional Staff Day at the Musica Mundi School and the Château du Lac, making the final preparations for the exciting weeks ahead.
The arrival weekend was filled with memorable first moments: settling into their rooms, meeting new friends, and sharing their first meals together. The highlight was the All Camp Meeting, a wonderful gathering that brought together the young talents, the Artists in Residence, and the entire Musica Mundi team.
This year marks a special milestone in the history of the Musica Mundi Course & Festival. For the very first time, our Artists in Residence are staying on campus in the beautifully renovated farmhouse located next to the school—an exciting new chapter that will make this summer's programme even more vibrant and connected.
Of course, the weekend wouldn't have been complete without everyone gathering to watch the thrilling FIFA World Cup Final, much to the delight of our Spanish participants!
Now the music begins. Two inspiring weeks of learning, performing, and sharing are about to unfold, starting this evening with a concert by the acclaimed piano duo, the Jussen Brothers.
We wish all our participants a fantastic festival filled with music, friendship, and unforgettable experiences!
