And what a FIRST DAY it was!!!

The exciting first day of our school trip has just come to an end!
After an enjoyable coach ride to Paris, we kicked off our adventure with a visit to the magnificent Opéra Garnier. This extraordinary building, with its breathtaking architecture and fascinating history, left both students and adults in awe.
A delicious lunch at a typical Parisian restaurant followed, just a stone's throw from the legendary Café de la Paix — a historic meeting place that, throughout the 20th century, welcomed generations of instrumentalists, composers, writers, painters and other great artistic personalities.
After lunch, we headed to the Père Lachaise Cemetery, the largest and most famous cemetery in France. A truly remarkable place, where history and art meet, and where so many iconic personalities found their final resting place - Édith Piaf, Yves Montand, Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, Frédéric Chopin and many, many others.
During our visit, we also took a special moment to pay tribute to a personality particularly dear to us: our own Ivry Gitlis, this great violinist who was a spiritual godfather to Musica Mundi for so many years. Standing by his grave brought back precious memories and made for a deeply moving and meaningful moment for all of us.
And the final stop of the day? The Galeries Lafayette department store! But no... NOT for shopping!!
Instead, we made our way up to the 7th floor of this magnificent building to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Paris from its rooftop terrace.
The sky was clear, the weather was beautiful, all the ingredients needed for the perfect group photo, with the Eiffel Tower standing proudly in the background!
Finally, hotel check-in and dinner brought this action-packed day to a close.
So many discoveries, beautiful places, wonderful memories and special moments, all in just one day!
What a FIRST DAY!!! And this is only the beginning!
