Our first day in Berlin was a very full and varied one, starting with a fascinating visit to the sumptuous Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam, about half an hour from Berlin.
On our way back, a time of reflection at the Platform 17 Memorial, a point of departure for victim trains during the Holocaust.
In the afternoon, the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie, the third of eight crossing points from East to West Berlin during the Cold War.
Then a concert performed by 2 Musica Mundi alumni and faculty, Liav Kerbel and Kristina Georgieva, at the Barenboim-Said Academy.
And finally, the famous Berliner Philharmoniker hall for a concert given by the incredible Berliner Philharmoniker Orchestra.
Indeed, a very full day but SO exciting!!
