Six MMS students have been participating in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) project called Exploratoria, organised by the Greenlight for Girls organisation (G4G) in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy.
The challenge was to submit a video presentation of an idea around Sustainability that could be turned into a real project for their community. Delphine, Faye, and Elyne proposed "Meat-Free Monday" to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Damla, Sophie, and Uriel proposed "Library for Life" which involves creating a library of musical scores and old books to be passed down from older students to younger ones.
The Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Belgium, Mr. Michael M. Adler, invited them to the Women in STEM Reception Ceremony at Whitlock Hall on Tuesday 19 November, where they received their certificates. Congratulations to our students!
