Pablo Casals !

Writer: Musica MundiMusica Mundi

Monday, March 3rd, was the first full day of our school trip, devoted to discovering the universe of the remarkable Pablo Casals.

The morning took us to Casal’s birth house, the Pau Casals school and the organ church where we enjoyed some inspirational organ playing and an a capella piece performed by our very own Musica Mundi School Choir.

Lunch was served at the beachfront Casals restaurant, right next door to the gorgeous Casals museum which used to be Casals’ own house and where we had a wonderful interactive visit that enabled us to learn even more about Casals’ lifelong convictions and ideals and his life mission to create a better world for us all- a true inspiration for our young talents !

The visit ended in style with a beautiful concert performed by the Atenea String Quartet in the Casals music room, inside the museum.

This fascinating and thought-provoking day was organised thanks to Mr Bernard Meillat and Mrs Nuria Ballester, whom we thank from the bottom of our hearts!

And now, off we go to… Barcelona !!!
