For our second day in Barcelona we were greeted again with a clear blue sky which made our visit of the seafront and harbour area of the city even more incredible.
The morning’s bus tour took us to many more interesting areas of the city and our knowledgeable guide provided us with a wealth of historical and cultural information and the opportunity to capture some of the iconic views such as the Barcelona Triumphal Arch and the Columbus statue.
After a delicious lunch of tapas at a beachfront restaurant we had a tour of the extraordinarily beautiful Palau de la Musica, where we were welcomed by Bernard Meillat and the artistic director of the hall.
We are excited for the concert we will enjoy there tonight and that will mark the end of our wonderful trip.
And then, after a short walk it was the turn of the Casa Batllo to amaze us. Gaudi’s architecture and artistic ideas in all their splendour!
The colours and imagination of this great visionary will stay with us long after we return home.
