The 200th anniversaryĀ of the creation of the historic Waterloo Lion was celebrated last night, September 12th, 2026.Ā
And what a celebration it was!

Dozens of participants brought history to life, portraying soldiers, cavalrymen, politicians, and other personalities connected with the fascinating history of this iconic monument.

The atmosphere of celebration was heightened by several musical interludes performed beautifully by our students: chamber music, solo performances, and the Musica Mundi School Choir, under the guidance of their choirmaster, Xavier Devillers.

The choir sang āDominiqueāĀ in honour of the singing nun who lived and composed at the Fichermont Monastery, the very place where our school is now located.
Ā
More than 1,000 spectatorsĀ attended this wonderful birthday celebration, which ended, of course, with an impressive fireworks display to the tune of Stevie Wonderās āHappy Birthday.āĀ š¶
