The last day 🥺 of our school trip started with a taster visit of the town of Weimar.
On the menu: the Franz Liszt house, the Goethe and Schiller houses, Bauhaus architecture, the Weimar Conservatory, the university, just some of the venues we saw in the morning.
After a picnic lunch in the beautiful streets of Weimar, we headed by bus to Eisenach, birth place of Johan Sebastian Bach, and the home of a truly magnificent Bach museum where we enjoyed an unforgettable live presentation of historical instruments of Bach’s time performed by the museum’s artistic director, followed by a very lively, interactive musical exhibition
Eisnenach is home also to the Georgenkirche, the church where Bach was baptised and where the Musica Mundi School choir performed to the delight of the adults who have accompanied us throughout this trip, members of the Board of Directors and lady Ambassadors of the school.
The trip was rounded off in style by a delicious evening meal in a typical German eating house before our night bus drive back to school in the very early hours of Tuesday, February 20th.
WHAT A WONDERFUL SCHOOL TRIP IT WAS ! THANK YOU WOLFGANG, OUR GUIDE, BENOIT AND THOMAS, OUR DRIVERS, FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE !!
