Friday, July 31st, was another full and exciting day at Musica Mundi.
The day began with the final chamber music run-throughs, during which 39 ensembles performed in front of our Artists-in-Residence. The goal was to select the groups that will take the stage this evening, Saturday, August 1st, for our final televised student concert.
Â
Immediately afterwards, the students travelled by bus to the Château du Lac in Genval for the Musica Mundi Orchestra rehearsal in preparation for the August 2nd GALA Concert.
Â
Soloists, brass and wind players, the percussion section, and of course the string players all took part in this detailed rehearsal under the expert guidance of conductor Leonid Kerbel.
Â
There is a real sense of excitement in the air as we enter the final phase of our Summer Course & Festival !!
